This is achieved through the areas of:
1) Translation - Since Bible Society’s work began the Bible, or parts of it, have been translated into more than 2,300 languages. There are currently about 700 projects underway, translating God’s Word into languages around the world. To see more detail on this, CLICK HERE
2) Publication - God’s Word is now available in many forms:
- A wide range of versions and special purpose Bibles, including Audio Bibles.
- Scripture portions that connect many of today’s issues and life challenges with the Bible.
- New Reader Scriptures for Literacy Classes
- The Bible in Braille
- The AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) Bible - A Video Translation
- Greek and Hebrew Bibles for Theological Study.
3) Distribution - Each year, up to 600 million pieces of Scripture are distributed around the world. These are either sold at subsidised prices that people can afford, or given away that those who can’t afford to pay.

4) Engagement - Bible Society is committed to connecting Australians with the living Word of God. Close working relationships have been established with Churches to ensure God’s Word continues to be central to the Churches mission and focus.
5) Fundraising - Bible Society seeks to raise funds from within the Community, to continue the Translation, Production and Distribution of Scriptures in Western Australia, Australia and around the World.
