Australia - Bible Text Videos (Tax Deductible)
There are 1.85 billion children throughout the world. Yet most local churches lack the resources and training to reach out to these children with the Gospel, or to nurture and disciple them.
Max7 is an international web-based resource partnership that allows resources for engaging and supporting young people to be shared for free.
The Max7 website has a library of resources that can be downloaded, including a Bible Curriculum, videos based on Bible texts, songs, training material for leaders, and evangelistic programs. It has the capacity for multi-language use and encourages community through Christians anywhere sharing resources through the site’s upload and feedback functions.
Bible Society is helping meet the high costs associated with producing more quality Bible text videos so that the Max7 website can continue to engage children and young people everywhere with God’s Word.
The Max7 website was initially launched in Cairo, Egypt in May 2007. Already, users from over 60 countries have made 40,000 downloads. At the first official global launch at a conference in Thailand in November 2007, leaders from almost every country on earth received the first Max7 DVD of resources taken from the website.
Currently, the site has 10 Bible text videos for children and young people: e.g., What the Bible is Like; The Good Samaritan; The Lost Son (Parts 1 & 2); Isaiah 40, Luke 2 (Christmas); The Temptation of Christ; The Wise Men (Matthew 2); The Man Lowered through the Roof. There are also 3 videos specifically for leaders/adults.
The videos are produced using Bible text verbatim in a variety of formats to ensure they can be easily translated into different languages and/or dubbed. They can be used to support the Bible Curriculum on the website or can ‘stand-alone’. These videos are already being used in churches to enhance a Bible passage being covered in a service, Bible study or children/youth program setting.
