In October Rev. Willy Dengler joined Bible Society staff in Perth for week to promote the World Hope Prison Ministries discipleship program. Bible Society provides Bibles in 11 languages to World Hope who are currently working in 170 prisons across South Africa. As of the week Rev. Dengler came to Australia 21,000 prisoners were registered with World Hope, in various stages of completing the discipleship program. Most of these prisoners have received Bibles through the support of Bible Society donors in WA and NSW.
While here, many people were challenged not only to support the work of Bible Society, World Hope and Challenge Newspapers, but also in their own faith through Rev. Denglers preaching.
From Clarkeson in the north of Perth right down to Rockingham Rev. Dengler was kept busy sharing about the life changing work that is going on in the Prisons of South Africa, where a vibrant church behind bars is sending out “missionaries” as men and women return to their towns and villages and share the Gospel with family and friends.
